さて、本国アメリカでも発売開始されたWindows Vista。こちらの対談で、新しいOSのメリットがわかりやすく解説されていました。

読んでいるうちに、Windowsも使っていて楽しいPCに変わりつつあるのかも...という気がしてきました。これから職場でXPではなくVistaを使うことになるのなら、けっこう面白そうかも...とも思います。一般ユーザーにとっても、XPに比べると「わ縲恂ﾊ白い」...という印象は十分あると思います。
ただ、新しく買うつもりだった人は別として、やはり普通の人たちが今問題なく動いているパソコンを買い替えてまでVistaを手に入れたくなるのかどうかですね。いくらWindows機の方が価格的にリーズナブルだからといって、一般家庭ではそうは簡単にはいかないですし。面白さのためならゲーム機やゲームソフトを買いたくなります。
このVistaの特集、まだ第１回ということなので、今後の連載にも期待しています。

とりあえずインストールだけしたのと、無線LANがうまくつながらずショックをうけている状態ですが今晩早速帰って色々やってみたいと思います。さわっている感じ、なかなか軽快に動きますよ。Intel Core DUO＋1.5Gメモリ

無線ＬＡＮを使うためには小技が必要のようですが、こちらでうまくいった記事を読みましたよ。

無線LANは全く問題なくつながったのですが、Bluetoothの認識がうまくいかずに四苦八苦してました。あとn対応のネットワークいいですね。自分のはCore Duoなのでいかんとも。。。残念。
